Dear Grandma and Grandpa Bartholomew

Papa Ron came to visit Paisley last night. He babysat while Charles and I went to dinner and a movie-I must say it was really nice to get out. Paisley had a really good time; she got to sleep on Papa, and I doubt he put her down for the entire 6 hours that we were gone. She just loves her papa, because she gets to see him all the time. By the way, she said her first word, it's "Papa." That's right. I doubt she'll ever learn how to say "grandma" or "grandpa," since she never sees you and won't remember who you are. By the time you see her again, she'll be at the age where she's too cool to want to be around her family. Too bad. She's such a sweet cuddly little thing, it's just too bad you can't see her...

Love, Charles and Ashley

Grandpa and Grandma say: "That's just RUDE."

But Grandma is glad that you got a night out. Did you make a Mamma bottle?

They ARE glad that Papa Ron had such a good time with his Granddaughter. (But Grandma's a LITTLE jealous.) Grandpa is more than a LITTLE jealous.

By the way, SOMEONE promised me that Paisley's first word would be, "Aunt Kate."

Does this jealousy board planes bound for Kansas with arms full of gifts for little people?

Oh, and her first word will most definitely be daddy, just to clear up any confusion on whether she really speaks yet.

Hey, gifts for big people aren't too shabby. Her first word WOULD have been Kate, but I haven't seen her around here either. She's only going to say the names of people who come see her (and babysit so mama can take a nap).
