Charles is missing out on all the fun

Dress

We received this gorgeous dress in the mail yesterday from Julianne and David, Charles' bro and wife. Julianne made it for Paisley-how cool is that? It's beautiful, and it will be perfect for her to get her pictures taken in. Thank you! We'll make Paisley sit down and write a thank you card soon.

Thank you Aunt Cake

Paisley's Grandma Karen, to whom she bears
a striking resemblance.

I said that she had Bartholomew lips from before
she was born (or rather Lee lips?). I also see
where she got all the hair.

It's strange that she takes after Charles so much,
since the Walker genes seem to be very
prevalent. My niece and nephew look just like
their father, my brother, and not much like their
mother at all. I don't mind that Paisley looks
like daddy, after all, I think he's pretty cute.

This little girl is a hoot. Charles always finds her at family functions and teases the crap our of her. They sat at Thanksgiving dinner and yelled things like "you smell like stinky cheese" at each other from across the room. While she was holding Paisley, she asked me, "what happens if you shake a baby really hard?"  Posted by Picasa

Miss Paisley had a great first Thanksgiving. We spent two days in KC, and she didn't seem to have any problems sleeping in a new place. She also got to meet most of her extended family for the first time, so Charles and I didn't see her for most of the afternoon. We decided that if we started collecting a penny from everyone that says "look at all that hair," we'll easily have enough to send her to college. This picture is Paisley with some of her second cousins. It's really interesting to watch our family grow, and that we all still get together for holidays.  Posted by Picasa

If you're happy and you know it

Paisley and I spent yesterday in town with a friend of mine and her two boys. We were there for 7 hours doing girly things, and this little girl was PERFECT. We went to lunch, to the mall, to Target and to see Chicken Little. Paisley thought Chicken Little was really cute, as she's a big Zach Braff fan. In other news, she's starting to outgrow some of her 0-3 month clothing (she's 7 weeks!). I think she's nearing 11 pounds, if she's not there already. She's also excited for Thanksgiving, which she gets to spend with Papa Ron in KC. She also gets to meet her extended family, most of whom she hasn't met yet.

Petunia has been extremely clingy lately, and has to be in our laps, even if the baby is there as well. It was cute until I watched her try to climb on top of the baby while Paisley was in her bouncer.  Posted by Picasa

Dear Grandma and Grandpa Bartholomew

Papa Ron came to visit Paisley last night. He babysat while Charles and I went to dinner and a movie-I must say it was really nice to get out. Paisley had a really good time; she got to sleep on Papa, and I doubt he put her down for the entire 6 hours that we were gone. She just loves her papa, because she gets to see him all the time. By the way, she said her first word, it's "Papa." That's right. I doubt she'll ever learn how to say "grandma" or "grandpa," since she never sees you and won't remember who you are. By the time you see her again, she'll be at the age where she's too cool to want to be around her family. Too bad. She's such a sweet cuddly little thing, it's just too bad you can't see her...

Hair Do

I found these clips at Target today. So far they're the only ones I've found that stay in her hair. Although it's thick, it's still really fine and doesn't hold clips very well.

Does anyone know anything about AdSense? Is it legit and can it make me money, or is it just a scam? Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Paisley has for 2 days in a row now taken a 3 hour nap. She goes down in her bed, I don't have to rock her or sleep with her, I just put her down and leave, and she conks out. It is sooo nice. Up until now, she'd only take cat naps, but even mama has gotten some nice long zzz's these past 2 afternoons. And she still slept last night, 6.5 hours! Keep your fingers and toes crossed that she keeps this up. Posted by Picasa

It's too bad that we don't go anywhere to show off her cute clothes. Posted by Picasa

Paisley has been changing so much, it's incredible. She seems to be able to focus on things much better than she was, she's holding her head up quite well, and turns it from side to side very easily. Such a smart child. She's also started cooing, which is about the cutest sound I've ever heard. Yesterday she sat and smiled at me about 6 times and cooed, which nearly brought me to tears. Yes, I know it sounds stupid, but when it's your own child smiling at you for the first time, it's the most amazing thing.  Posted by Picasa

After we got home from the park yesterday, Charles took the babe and let me take a much needed nap, as this stupid cold I've had for a week and a half hasn't gone away. When I got up, this is how I found them.  Posted by Picasa

Today is Paisley's 1 month birthday, I don't really know how she's already 1 month old. Charles had the afternoon free for a change, so we took her to a park. Hopefully someday she'll be able to enjoy the park as much as her father does. Posted by Picasa
