Does anyone know...when a 19 month old continuously sticks her fingers in her ears, does that mean she has an ear infection?

Hmm, is she crying or fussing when she does it? Ava always sticks her fingers in her ear but she doesn't have an infection. I think it's just a hole she's discovered she can stick something in, much like her nose.
usually if they tug or pull or rub their ears that is usually a good sign for an ear infection. but like angie said... it may be just a new discovery. my 3 year old has found his nostrils and won't stop leaving his fingers up there. kinda like his dad at work.
Hailey does that when she's got water in her ears, like after her bath. She did it a lot when she had an ear infection too, but she cried and fussed too...after the infection went away she did it til the fluid drained after her cold went away.
